Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, 36, is coming back for a 17th season with the Cardinals, signing a one-year deal.

“This season was among the most fun of my career,” Fitzgerald said Wednesday on social media. “The future is so bright for this team & I relish the opportunity to build with this talented young nucleus. Arizona is where I started and where I will finish. 2020! Let’s get to work!”

Fitzgerald led the Cardinals (5-10-1) with 75 catches for 804 yards and four touchdowns in 2019. He repeatedly said how much he enjoyed playing with rookie quarterback Kyler Murray, who was the No. 1 overall pick in last year’s draft.

Fitzgerald’s 1,378 receptions are second all time behind Hall of Famer Jerry Rice (1,549). His 17,083 career receiving yards also rank second in NFL history, and his 120 career touchdown receptions are sixth.
